Hello Other member from EU here M-Sport 2 package cars are the most wanted one. Go one with manual gearbox and M-Sport 2, rustfree and definetly 330i. M-Sport 2 package includes as you said, different suspension setup, different interior (seats, bodykit, sill trims etc.

2002 JapanRot E46 325i Touring: Car began as a stock 325it auto and I decided to swap an S54 and associated drivetrain into my 02 325i touring when a crashed E46 M3 showed up on Craigslist. I pulled the following from the donor car to be swapped from front to back: Rad support and associated fan, etc. S54, accessories, and all wiring.
Yeah I didn't either until recently when I was searching for black touring headliner/pillar trim parts out of European salvage cars. Europe got all kinds of cool stuff on their high end option cars like the M-Sport package, but also a lot of less desirable stuff on the base package cars.
Wondering what years are good/bad, what gearboxes (manual or auto) are good/bad and things like awd vs. rwd. There is no bad year for the E46/3 touring. The 323 does not have a "weak subframe". Earlier E46s (323 and 328) exhibited typical BMW chassis floor failure first because they are the oldest. 325s, 330s, and M3s are now showing up with

Yes, some H&R springs will lower a sport package car. I have H&R part number 29484 springs and it's almost tok low.

The only problem that I do have with it is after putting a backup camera and I have come to the realization that most of the trim and interior panels will not make it.
George Hill. 1244 posts · Joined 2005. #25 · Nov 6, 2018 (Edited) OE BMW parts. The E46 upper pad is 5mm and is the same part number as the upper pad on the E36. E36 parts diagram lists multiple thicknesses so I would assume they work on E46's as well, but I cannot confirm. 5mm: 33531136385.
Well, I found my figures and it turns out that I only looked at MT xi touring models, and at least for the xis MTs make up a bit more than 15%. Here is what I found: BMW began making xit models for the US in April 2000. The first valid VIN numbers for xit cars are EN80002 and ET40001 both produced in 4/2000.
